Hello @WiiM Team , I think it would be beneficial for the Ultra users to be able to select a fixed output resolution as seen in other of your devices. Thanks

It doesn’t have it even on latest firmware.Already there. See the device "Audio Settings".
Not for the Wiim Ultra. Checked after the last update and still not thereAlready there. See the device "Audio Settings".
Last time I asked a few weeks back they said they were still testing it for the Ultra, and also that they didn’t have any plans to add it to the Mini.Already there. See the device "Audio Settings".
I will try it on ultra later on a day. The latest firmware include that feature. Bit perfect vs upsampling.I have tested this feature in wiim pro plus with optical out now and the first time I have tested it was since it was first released - fixed 24/96 optical out. My impression is that the sound is "smoother" not soft. I kind of like it . It seems more relaxed with upsampling.
Ah I see. In wiim pro plus there is not a bit perfect toggle button.I will try it on ultra later on a day. The latest firmware include that feature. Bit perfect vs upsampling.
It does not. Turning off fixed is bit perfect if you choose 24/192.Ah I see. In wiim pro plus there is not a bit perfect toggle button.
Yes at this moment comparing bit perfect and upsampling sound was blurry. The purpose of this feature is for those dac that facing pop and click would fix this issue since it won’t be changing sampling rate. Now that I have listened more carefully it is much worse with upsampling . It is blurred

To me this feature is no go! I don’t like how it sound. There’s some blurriness on vocals. Turn it off sound is good.Or the algorithm should be improved … it is all about the sound

I’m sure it vary from system to system. It’s nice to have it for those who need it. This is why it has toggle for those who need it. I’m not saying it’s bad because it did not work for me. This is why I said “to me” your mile may vary.Yes absolutely.Imagine that others can improve the sound with this . The sacrifice you have to make is making it not worth compared to the problem it solves
