I am very confused on how to organize my files in my computer so that they can be discovered by the WiiM. I put my usual Music folder on my C drive on the main computer and expect them to be discoverable by WiiM Pro. But when I try to go there with the app, I don't see the same folder that I put there. Do I need to know some sort of Meta tagging for my music? It is not all commercial music copied from CDs or the internet, some of it is my own recordings copied onto the computer.

The WiiM Home App doesn't browse network shares, instead your music files need to be served by a UPnP Music Server. There is a bad one built into Windows called Windows Media Sharing (managed by Windows Media Player I believe), is that what you're using? I think the default share location for Windows Media Sharing is C:\Users\XXXX\Music.

EDIT: Here's a post about configuring additional folders.

Or try a 3rd party app, such as bubbleupnp (Android), that supports SMB shares.
But, yes, using a media server is a nicer experience.
