Hi - I'm using the Radio France app on Android to Chromecast FIP radio (https://www.radiofrance.fr/fip) to Wiim Pro, which is connected by Ethernet to sufficiently fast internet connection.
The stream has an approx. 1-second stutter (replays a 1 second segment) every 100 seconds or so.
I don't get this behaviour with Spotify or other radio streams (e.g. BBC), or playing FIP on my phone or PCs.
What is causing this annoying behaviour?

It does not solve the problem, but several variants of FIP seem to be available with vTuner in Wiim Home app.

I downloaded the app and didn’t experience any problems. Try clearing the Radio app cache (or deleting a reinstalling the app), power cycling your router and your WiiM Pro and see if any of those help. Maybe even try a factory reset of your Pro. Also try toggling off preferred dns and IPv6 in the Pro’s network settings.

If all that fails, raise a ticket in the settings/ feedback section of the WiiM Home app when next it happens so WiiM can inspect your device logs for clues.

invites you to look for the icecast links of the fip / fr group in 192aac (unfortunately fr still does not offer better to my knowledge, on "acoustic" music radios it is really a shame)....in direct entry into the wiim application.. ""better""sound but no data like in the app fr (long live shazam)
you be sure to have this "quality"" with that...:

LMS has a very good Radio France interface offering MP3, AAC and HLS streams, which along with its Music&Artist info and “what was that tune” plugins probably give you as much if not more info than the app and Shazam…

I haven't taken the plunge yet... and honestly just for the radio, the use of direct access is enough and easy "in preset"... Shazam was for the wink and occasional use
;-)
