Group creation and usage

I see in devices that you can create a group and give it a name, i.e. "Upstairs". How is this used within the app or elsewhere? I'm not seeing it represented in any place beyond the groups tab within the devices, and that doesn't seem to have any actions to use it.

You can select it when you select the device to play on. That works from the "Now Playing" page and as a casting device in e.g. Spotify.

As OP can see the group creation menu I think the devices support it
