Hi there, I have read as many threads as I could and also I am talking to Support. I have a Samsung The Frame 2024 model and connected to Ultra via HDMI. First off nothing worked, TV didn't list Ultra, all settings correct and checked multiple times.

Then suddenly started working, all great, worked for a week or so. Then Saturday, stopped working. I've done reset, I've turned everything off multiple times, waited ten mins, changed HDMI cable but TV will not show the Ultra as an option for sound output.

Posting here to see if any other people found the same, right now I am gonna return the Ultra as this was a key reason in buying it.

Thanks

If all settings are correct and you removed both devices from the mains power before making the connection and the HDMI cable is certified, then there's nothing left to do.

Thanks - that's what I feared - the supplied Wiim HDMI cable was in use and I swapped it for a brand new one, no difference. Is there any way it could be requiring a specific HDMI cable?

No, it doesn't require a specific HDMI cable, as long as the one in use is HDMI 1.4 (or higher) compliant. The supplied one is usually fully up to the task.

No problem at all here with WiiM Ultra and Samsung QE55Q60B. ARC is working flawlessly.

Are you sure you disabled eARC?

Did Ultra show by name on your TV? Mine (Sony) just let me output to the HDMI ARC connection. And when "TV" is selected as input on the Ultra, it plays nicely.

As others write: Only ARC (not eARC) with stereo PCM format is supported (for now).
