Wiim Ultra HDMI eARC

When watching TV occasionally (once or twice a day) the sound cuts out. It's definitely the Wiim Ultra. This issue hasn't happened before I started using the Wiim HDMI input. After turning the Wiim off and on it messing around with the inputs the sound comes on again.

No eARC support on the Ultra. If your TV has a separate setting for eARC you should disable it.

How do you know it's definitely the Ultra?

Sorry, it's earc on the TV but arc on the Ultra.

I know it's the ultra through process of illumination. And it is definitely just a fault on the HDMI

I've got a really annoying issue with my Ultra. Only when using HDMI ARC from TV. Streaming is fine, no issues.

The sound cuts out and will not come back on, through process of illumination it is definitely an issue with the Wiim.

It comes back on if I go into settings and change the outputs or input through the Wiim app or if I restart it.

It happens two or three times a day.

I have never had such a problem with my Ultra.

Next time, If you experience any issues, please submit a support ticket through the feedback section of the WiiM app immediately. A log of your device will be sent to them and help resolve the issue.

BTW, what is your TV manufacturer?

Samsung TV, I have logged the fault several times with them but not really getting anywhere.

One time they said they couldn't see any faults because I'd rebooted the system but that's the best way to get the sound back on.

Is this the same problem as in your previous thread?

Perhaps, you could illuminate us about your process of elimination. Did you try changing the HDMI cable?
