Digging deep into the app and the forums, am I correct in thinking that there is currently no way of building or accessing playlists tied to a hard disk library of music? I’m a former user of LMS, and still have that library on that PC.

I have it working via the Plex integration into WiiM pointing to that same library, but I think that’s ignoring my replay gain tags.

If I were you I would stick with LMS. Most WiiMs have Squeezelite built in and the Mini works with the UPnP/DLNA bridge.

Having selected Plex from Music Services, click the cog icon and enable Loudness Levelling.
I assume these are tags you've added to the files yourself rather than through Sonic Analysis? It's working for me with FLAC.

Although the Plex integration is a lot better than it was it’s still not really there compared to using the WiiM as an LMS player.
