How likely is a multi-zone Wiim amp in the near future?

I'm about to rip out a bunch of Sonos amps for Wiim. I'm finding myself going down a rabbit hole of used multi-zone amplifiers on eBay, etsy 3D printed plastic rack adapters for Wiim Pros, etc. I don't want to spend all this time and effort getting everything wired up perfectly when a far better solution would just be some kind of multi-zone wiim amp. Thanks!

If you think about it you’ll realise that the alternative to a multi zone amp is numerous separate amps synced together. Why would WiiM want to produce a multi zone amp and cut their sales of the alternative?

You're making poor assumptions. I, and many others who want a clean racked setup, would pay a premium for this product. I.E. I would pay more than 6 x $379 for a six zone Wiim Amp that occupies 2 or 3 RU of space, requires only a single Ethernet connection versus six, etc.

Each WiiM device will show up in the WiiM Home app as a single room, and you can configure multiple together into a group as well, a more persistent link. We haven't announced any plans for the opposite, a single WiiM device that shows up as multiple rooms with audio outputs for each of them all in one.

You might be interested in the WiiM CI MOD A80 which is becoming available to our custom installer market. It's an amp specifically built for rack installation. Still going to function as a single room in the app, but it'll be a clean installation replacement for Sonos amps.
