Images on USB storage

Discuss, as they say.

Does the usual trick work of adding an image to a folder and calling it “folder.jpg” work?

What’s the best size? I seem to remember on my old WDTV Media Player the ideal size was…I think 300x200 pixels (DVD covers). Any optimal size for the Ultra?

And in this situation, will it use the same JPEG for all music files in that folder?

I think folder.jpg does work. I'd be looking at at least 600x600 these days.

New PC arrives on Wednesday, and setting up the USB is pretty much the last thing I need to do to the overall set up of the Ultra.
