Input quality indication via toslink/SPDIF

I use the TV as my signal source (the source for the TV is the Apple TV). It would be nice to see in the app what quality is being delivered through the input. Currently I only see LPCM, adding bit depth and sample rate would be appreciated.

My screenshot is from my Amp, I'm not sure whether this is available on the other WiiM devices yet. It was introduced in v5.0.625032 from Aug 2, 2024.

It’s on my Ultra too - this is its optical line in being fed from my Mini’s optical out. It has issues accepting 24/192 though so I’ll need to submit a ticket again as I did on the beta, I thought that been fixed.

It seems like there is variation across devices. Seems to me that the code could do with a unified presentation method (in the computer programming sense) for the stream information.

You won’t see this on the Mini, as it doesn’t have an optical input.

Yes, of course. I didn't get it. Specifically in my case I meant the Pro Plus version, or even the Pro version.

Have Wiim given an update on this? I’m a Pro owner and would like the input quality of the Optical In port to be visible in the app. Currently just says LPCM regardless of bit rate/sample size etc
