Is my logic correct?

Hi, I am a new customer with a WiiM Ultra now 2 days old.
I am having a problem and wish to sense check my logic in a few areas
I have a Denon AVR-X420W connected to a Samsung 55in Smart TV
Both have one HDMI arc port
My logic is that the WiiM can be connected to any of the TV or AVR spare hdmi ports (TV preferred) as I only want to display the video output from the WiiM, audio is via Line In. But for some reason no video is displaying, if my logic is correct then it must be me not configuring the ports correctly?

On first installing the WiiM it indicated a poor WiFi signal and would only work effectively via Bluetooth, after 4-5 hours the WiFi changed to Very Good !! But the unit had been in the same location throughout?

Lastly I have a Marantz CD6004 which was connected to the CD line in port on the Denon which I am now connecting the WiiM into for audio.
I have connected the CD directly to the WiiM via TOS link as my logic says that the WiiM DAC is superior to the Marantz ?
Appreciate any help / guidance

As above, the hdmi connection on the Ultra isn’t a video feed to the tv, it’s an audio return channel from the tv to the Ultra.

Thanks for the info, so is it possible to duplicate the WiiN small screen onto the TV, if so any suggestions?

There’s not really an easy solution other than connecting an old tablet with an hdmi output into the tv, running another instance of the WiiM Home app which you’d normally run on your phone. You could try screen mirroring from your phone or tablet to the tv, but I don’t think that it a satisfactory experience.

Re the Marantz, I’d suggest you try both routes and see which you prefer - it’s always hard (or futile) to advise which is better as the rest of your kit, room acoustics, speakers, preferences, ears and brains are different from everyone else’s.
