Is there a ability to lock the volume at a certain volume regulation number?

I know we already have the 100% or less volume limit ability and this can be used to limit the max output .

But my question is this: is there a way to lock the max volume in the volume-number display instead ? Like having a maximum volume at 70 instead of 100 ?

Not that I know of.
I know what you mean - e.g.if you have limited the volume to 70% then the volume number should only go to 70 to indicate that it could go louder, if the restriction was removed.

Similarly, Hegel recently-ish changed their display to always be 0-100 even if a max volume had been set.
i.e. if the limit was set at 70 then the display used to only go from 0-70, whereas now, like wiim, it always goes 0-100 no matter what the max volume is set to. Many users complained about this, or simply struggled to understand it!
Currently the display shows '100 Damped' when at a limited yet full volume.
I still prefer the original way as you know what limit has been applied, whereas now the Damped just tells you it's not full, full volume, but you've no idea how much it's been damped.

However, I still use my ears to guide how loud I want it, not the number, and I set a max so that teenagers can't blow the speakers!

As a father to a 1 year old and right now constantly scared of her turning the volume to max and blowing up the house - this practice would be way better really. What I dont like about setting up a volume limit is that I have to turn the knob like five rotations to get the volume to like 90 and be satisfied with that. If I could just set a limit to say 70 I could use the device just like normal without being scared of my daughter turning the knob or grabing my phone while streaming.

Has this been suggested as a request?

An old amp of mine has a "limit" button that makes it very hard to make it loud, it reduces the volume by about 30db.

It lights up when it's on, so it's obvious the volume is limited.

This could be something that WiiM does, for example put the word "limit x" (where x is the max %) on the ultra's screen, or change the colour of the volume LEDs on the amp when a limit percentage is set in the app.

With the WiiM Amp in particular, perhaps show a red LED at how far up the LED "volume progress" the limit is set?

In my opinion, it would make more sense if WiiM would allow users to define the volume level increase per rotation. I also do not want to have 5 rotations from 0 to 100.

Hi Yoku-San,

Thanks very much for your suggestion; our team will check how to implement that; please stay tuned!
Really...?
I raised this in early June!

June 4th:
"
How about allowing the volume speed to be chosen?
How about adjusting volume based on the rotation speed?
"

Any way you could look into Musicians suggestion also?
I would think that volume limit plus adjustable volume gain per rotation (or degree of rotation) is really all you need. Having a third option that does something very similar might be rather confusing.
