The customized PEQ settings on my WIIM Pro Plus was erased after the update ran on my unit. It took me hours to tweak it where I wanted the sound to be. Could I roll back the UPDATE, then take a snapshot of the details of my original PEQ before the update ran? Then run the update again, and re-apply my legacy PEQ settings? Or maybe, WIIM has a copy of those settings stored some place?

The last Pro Plus firmware update was 20th August.

Which device are you referring to?

No. The settings are only stored on the device and it looks like they were deleted by the update and cannot be rolled back. That doesn't normally happen. So something went wrong. Are the other settings preserved?

No. I believe the output resolution also changed to it's original settings

Did you have these settings saved as a custom set on your device? While I couldn’t say it’s never happened, it is unusual for saved sets of EQ/PEQ to be lost after a firmware update when they’ve been saved to a device - only a factory reset should clear them.

Also, rolling back to a previous firmware version won’t restore them if they have indeed been lost.

That firmware version is from the 20th August.
It may be, but why did it update Sunday night and wiped out my PEQ settings in the middle of listening to music? I was not near the app as I was just listening, and the audio went back to its original default to not be “Fixed Volume Audio. This how it made me aware that something was wrong as I could not hear any audio. This setting changed as well. So, something got updated on 09/28/2025. Thanks.

If you haven’t already, you should submit a ticket to WiiM via the more/feedback section in the app with as much detail as possible. Hopefully they can get an idea of what went wrong from your device logs.
