Let's talk movies & streaming shows

I recently re-upped Amazon Prime, and I now catch-up on series that have proven to be popular. All of these are wonderfully entertaining.

Grimm. Started the 2nd season. Better than expected.
American Rust: Broken Justice. 2nd season. A bit dour and dark, but well written and acted. Jeff Daniels & Maura Tierney.
Good Omens. Started 2nd season. An absolute classic with David Tennant and Jon Hamm!
The Boys. Evil superheroes with wonderful surprises.
Tom Clancy's Jack Ryan. Just finished season 3, where WW3 with Russia was averted. At the last minute, of course.

Loved Good Omens!

A House of Dynamite - Netflix. Another hit from Catherine Bigelow. Class film making.
Looking forward to watching this later this week, but the fact that the Pentagon feels the need to complain about a work of fiction is a bonus ;)

Tulsa King, a series which most people will probably regard as real horse.
I like it because it stars Silvester Stallone, an "actor" who I first watched nearly 50 years ago in Rocky, it's easy to watch, it don't stretch the brain, it's just pure hokem.
Most series these days are so complicated, that the effort of remembering who's who and what's going on ain't worth the effort. 👍😏

I wonder how many guys around the world have copied this.😄

Most series/movies are just junk. Check out Trap on Netflix - wooden acting, predictable screenplay. Just awful 😜. The only interesting scene is the appearance of a huge 6-8 metre long limousine 😁

I grew up watching this, so I'm not dislike to series.😄
(It was the only foreign film my father ever loved.) 970.jpg

[A House of Dynamite]
My advice - find something else.
Ok, maybe it wasn't that bad, but it wasn't that good either. Not sure how it got to #1 on Netflix!
A film which deals with the consequences of the failure of the doctrine of mutual assured destruction (MAD) & the proliferation of nuclear weapons... Beats the current string of bash 'em up, teenage romantic angst nonsense being pushed out.

I watched it because Rebecca Ferguson was in it, but I fell asleep halfway through.. I might watch it again, but might not.

Netflix original films tend to be hit-and-miss. Most have rather slapdash endings.
