LFE for music?

Would it be preferable to use high level sub output for music and is this possible with the WiimAmp?
If it was possible you wouldn't be using the bass management feature built in to the Amp. I used the high level input of my sub with an Audiolab 8000A and could never find a completely satisfactory crossover setting. The bass management was my main reason for buying the WiiM Amp.

Thanks for the reply. Being able to control the sub via the app is indeed a brilliant feature that I would not want to lose. I was just concerned that from what I understand, LFE was designed for specific encoded information in films rather than music reproduction. I may have that wrong!

To retrieve LFE you'd need DD/DTS decoders. LFE is only on multi channel DD/DTS soundtracks.
If you set subwoofer to off, then full range is set to the speakers, if you use high level to sub.

But class D amps to subwoofers is not a good idea can blow up sub or amp.

CD's don't have LFE mix.

The LFE input is normally used for that but the sub will play whatever is sent through that connection, in this case all frequencies below the crossover.

So sub out on the Wiim is sending all the information in the music below the crossover point to the sub, not just an LFE signal? Forgive me if I am labouring this. I just would like to know that I am using my amp and sub correctly.

Everything seems to be working happily, without any explosions! I do sometimes think the sub is a bit one note though and wondered if it is receiving the correct signal from the Wiim sub out.
