Goodday all,
I would like to know when I connect my TV with toslink into the Wiim and from there with RCA into my analog integrated amplifier do I have evt problems with lipsync latency?
I ask this because I want to switch from my Sonos connect where I don’t have this problem
Thanks for clarifying

With the WiiM pro, the latency having TV via Toslink in and digital coax out has no remarkable issues, i.e. it seems to be sufficiently fast enough that I do not recognise a lipsync problem.

If you transfer the signal via multiroom to another WiiM, (up to now) the latency seems to be much too high for video lipsync applications in my setup.

Yep, this is my experience too, tv optical in, optical out to external dac, no sync issues.
Multiroom group delay at least 0.5 secs.
To be clear (but maybe it should be obvious?) all wiims in the group have the delay, so the sound fron the one the tv is plugged into is way off the lips.

Good morning, first thanks for replys.
So in my config: tv > spdif > Wiim > rca > analog integrated amp - is this most probably no issue.

I've not actually tried analog out, but I'd be really surprised if there was a sync issue.
I suppose I could try it... although I'm sure someome here must have that setup.

I've seen latency up to 50 ms on the Pro Plus digital input. I think such result will not introduce lipsync issues but it will depend on the tv also.

I’ve seen it said that “For most viewers, if the audio is less than 40 ms early and less than 90 ms late, the brain does not consciously register a lip sync error”. Your brain may vary ;)
