Hello,

I got the wiim pro plus. It was an open box from best buy

When i leave it for a while without playing and return to it after some time, it takes a very very long time for the music to play. Some active speakers are cponnected via the line out plugs.
Totday i had to re-set up, it wouldnot play anything. But on the app, it does as if it is playing.

Is it normal? or it is defect? Update etc is all done.

Hi,

If there is no sound, it is not normal.
  • Is the WiiM output set to line out?
  • Was the power cable unplugged while the WiiM was left unattended?

If the power cable was unplugged, it will take some time for the device to reboot and connect to the network upon power-on.

Hello,

Yes, line out. It is working fine when doing sync. Only after a while, it stops. Or say, i go to bed, the next morning it will not play easily...
Power unplugged: It is always plugged...

I also have set stand by tpo: Never.

Thank you

What is the sound source?

If the music plays fine the first time and then stops after a while, there may be a problem with the network connection. Please try rebooting the router; if you are using Wi-Fi, temporarily move the WiiM closer to the router and see if it works properly with an Ethernet connection.

Source: wiim app radio or iphone airplay
Router: Can't be nearer :-/
WIFI: i am working online and there is no issues...

Music stop: It is not as such, it is that when it has stopped for a while (night), when trying to reconnect, it is not reconnecting smoothly and takes foreever (need to re sync)

In event when sound is not coming, if i look at the app, all is well and it behaves as if it is playing, the small lines are moving as when sound comes out :-)

I got the wiim via best buy open box, could it be that the product was defect?

Hello,

Another thing i noticed, if i play music from another device (like a computer), it will switch device and play. When i go back to the app (press play with the remote or play on the app from the phone), it will NOT play. I would need to re-sync the speakers. Then only it plays...

Airplay causes me issues if paused for too long, this could be part of the problem.

After an indetermined length of time (but not that long) neither unpausing from the remote or the app will have any effect, the app says it's playing back but there's no sound.

I put this down to an airplay issue and solved it by adding a shortcut to my iphone home and lock screen to resume playback from the phone which works immediately.

I can't speak for the radio though.......

This is with the Amp BTW but I suspect it's the same issue.

Sorry, I still don't seem to understand your situation very well.
By reconnect, do you mean an Airplay connection?

When you play the radio with the WiiM app, does it play without problems?

Does it happen with both radio and Airplay?

Not sure yet, but please try submitting a support ticket through the feedback section of the WiiM app. A log of the device will be sent to help resolve the issue.
