At the price point, it is great but really would like a way to play my iPod Touch through it, realizing there is no digital handshake between Apple and WiiM. Any workaround or software update in the works? Thanks.

So many WiiMs ... who knows which one you have?

The WiiM Amp, WiiM Amp Pro and WiiM Ultra should recognise the Touch when connected through USB.

I have a lot of MP3 digital files that I could play through my system using the TEAC DS-H01. Well the TEAC has succumbed and wondering if there is a way to connect my iPod touch to the ultra. So far nothing works, but the streaming connectivity is really good. Thanks.

Maybe something useful in thread 'iPod classic connected to Wiim Amp' https://forum.wiimhome.com/threads/ipod-classic-connected-to-wiim-amp.2692/

Snd in post in thread 'Apple iPod Touch as input to WiiM Pro' https://forum.wiimhome.com/threads/apple-ipod-touch-as-input-to-wiim-pro.5833/post-97135

If you have a long discontinued Airport Express, you might be able to use it as an AirPlay receiver for your Touch. The Airport Express has a 3.5mm optical output port that could be used to connect to the OPTICAL IN on the Ultra. Or one could use the analog output on the Airport Express to connect to the LINE IN on the Ultra.

As the Touch and Airport Express are unsupported by Apple, there's no guarantee that they will talk to each together.

You ask for connectivity and support for a product that was discontinued many years ago.
Not that many years ago. I have a seventh generation iPod Touch that I bought in 2020 (ironically, to use as a Sonos controller). Apple supported it until, I think, 2022, and I have the WHA on it.

I've also successfully used it with AirPlay streaming to a WiiM Pro Plus.

I own both an Airport Express and an iPod Touch and can confirm that they do, indeed, talk to each other.
