Low level hissing on wiim pro

When listening to music at 70db. I hear a low level hissing, barely noticeable on rock music, more so with balads.

I'm streaming via tidal hifi via the wiim app. I've messed around with the input rate but haven't solved the issue.

Does anyone have any suggestions?

Older rock music?
If there's no hiss with nothing playing and the volume turned up, then all I can think of is the music itself.

I think I might have solved the problem. I had the wiim plonked on top of the amplifier, I've moved it next to my turntable that's turned off when I'm streaming and can't hear any hissing now.

I had a Wiim Pro sitting on top of an old Technics AB amp for several months and did not hear any hissing. Is it possible you have some "snake oil" audiophile products in your set-up? Those might give off a distinct hissing sound

Maybe have you amp checked, if it's emmitting a lot of noise. Was probably picked up by your rca cables.
