Mixing between tracks

Hello, I recently changed my setup from Sonos to Wiim Ultra. One thing I really miss is the transition between tracks; it worked very well with the Sonos app, and the transition was automatic if selected. I’ve looked around, but I can’t find any option in the Wiim app, and it’s impossible to use it with Spotify or Deezer, as they’re not compatible with Wiim. I hope Wiim will find a solution for this compatibility issue, to get up to par with Sonos...
Some might say it’s not necessary, but personally, I find the 4-10 seconds between tracks quite annoying.
Good day

I find the 4-10 seconds between tracks
Does this mean gapless playback isn’t available? Or are you referring to fade-in and fade-out effects?

If it’s the former, Spotify Connect supports gapless playback. However, Google Cast does not support gapless playback.

If it’s the latter, please check the audio settings screen in the WiiM app to make sure fade-in and fade-out is turned off.

Hello, I'm talking about the seamless mixing of tracks, to avoid silence between songs. Already tried with Spotify Connect (I work on a PC), and it doesn't work; I still have about 8 seconds of silence between the tracks. The fade-in fade-out option is enabled.
Sorry, I might not be expressing myself well, but as a French speaker, I'm using a translator. ;)

It seems there’s an issue.

Could you please play music via Spotify Connect on your smartphone and post a screenshot of the playback screen in the WiiM app on your phone?

When using Spotify Connect, this icon will appear at the top.

Please turn off fade-in and fade-out in the WiiM app.

Also, please set “Sample rate switch latency” to 0 ms in the audio output settings.

If the issue persists, try restarting your router and PC.

Go to the settings screen in the Spotify app and turn on gapless playback. (This is usually unrelated to Spotify Connect, but please check it just in case.)

And I recommend submitting a ticket via the feedback section in the WiiM app.
(WiiM home > More > Feedback)

Your device logs will be sent, which will help resolve the issue.

Is it the crossfade setting we're talking about here for Spotify? That's not supported by Spotify Connect which is used to play to WiiM and other devices. WiiM devices don't have an equivalent local setting.

Indeed, I was talking about the crossfade; I suspected it wasn't implemented on WiiM. I hope that WiiM will make an effort with its implementation.
Thank you for your responses.

WiiM would need their own implementation given Spotify doesn't support it over Connect. I'd suggest you raise a feature request ticket via the more/feedback section in the WiiM app to ask if they could develop crossfade.
