More detailed group options:
Ability to create a persistent group with options for input, EQ, and balance and possibly more.
One use case- use a preset button on the remote that is designed to select a persistent group which pairs two Wiim devices for Dolby 5.1 while simultaneously changing the input to HDMI ARC. The preset number one could then be named “hone theatre”. You can have the EQ for the multiple devices saved for this specific use under groups. One button and you are set for home theater. I currently also use grouping to link two devices when listening to vinyl and manually adjust the EQ and which device handles left and right channel. One step preset configuration would be fantastic and allow for easier ecosystem integration and customization. Once set up, your personalized system becomes faster and more user friendly

And, yes - your proposal is more encompassing. I've gotten quite accustomed to the SCENE buttons on my Yamaha AVRs - buttons which can at a touch call-up and replace almost the entirety of the Yamaha's Configuration (including DSP and even Amp Speaker Assignments).

Really appreciate this. That’s a little more involved than I want to get in order to achieve this, but very interesting. I still feel it would be a great feature for Wiim to implement, even if it does not use the remote buttons. Even just more detailed options within the persistent groups would be great to access from the APP. I really feel that a lot of people would find this useful

The features you're looking for here are already largely available in the Ultra beta firmware (sound profiles), but unfortunately, it's been over six months since the beta was released... I hope these features will be officially implemented soon.

This is a beta feature that can only be tested on the Ultra. It can't be installed on other WiiM devices.

That was VERY helpful. It looks like they are definitely on the right path and this aligns very much with what I was looking for. I hope the work out the bugs in this soon and can roll it out a final version of this in firmware updates soon! From what I read in there, several devices were listed that this would apply to-IE sub out for devices with a sub out, or screen controls for devices that have a screen. Personally, I use the Amp Ultra as a lead device when using HDMI Ark for Dolby and I use the Pro plus as a lead device when listening to vinyl
