MP3 player connection on Ultra?

Has anyone had any success pairing an Ultra to an MP3 player [non Apple, obviously]. I have many digital Mp3 files on my PC and would like to play them on the Ultra in addition to Spotify streaming. Thanks.

Use software on your pc like MediaMonkey, or even the beta WiiM Home desktop app, and direct the audio to your WiiM device. Or load Minimserver, point that to your MP3 library and access the files from your WiiM home app under Home Media Share

If using MinimServer+WiiM Home App or MediaMonkey your files will be sent over the network.

Another obvious option would be to copy them onto a USB memory drive and connect that to the Ultra. This way you could play them without having to power up your computer or getting a NAS.

What folks are saying is that you can install a UPnP server on your PC. Then using WiFi your WiiM will see the MP3 collection on your PC. MediaMonkey has this UPnP capability built in.

This is likely the best way to connect your PC to your WiiM. For completeness sake, there are a few other methods you could use:

1. Connect your PC to your WiiM using a cable between the headphone jack on your PC and the LINE IN on your WiiM. This will send all of the audio on your PC to your WiiM.
2. Connect your PC to your WiiM using Bluetooth. This will send also send all of the audio on your PC to your WiiM.
3. (Chrome) Cast your PC to your WiiM, WiiM is a Chromecast device.
4. Though rare, if available with your PC, use an optical cable to connect your PC to your WiiM OPTICAL IN.
