New albums added to Amazon Music library not showing in WiiM App

hi,

i'm wondering if anyone else has encountered this problem and resolved it somehow.

I added a few new albums to my Amazon Unlimited music library, but they're not showing up in the WiiM Amp.

I've tried Refreshing my Music from Amazon App setting, clearing WiiM App cache and storage, I also rebooted the WiiM App, but nothing seems to make these albums appear.

Also, I can still cast the albums from the Amazon Music app to WiiM, I've submitted a ticket via the app, but wondering if this is a know problem with work-arounds to get the music directly from WiiM.
 
Hi,

It seems that it takes some time for the albums I have added to My Music to be reflected in the WiiM app. Each track is reflected immediately.

It's been a few days. I tried adding another album and same thing, not seeing the album or any of the tracks in WiiM.

I'll follow-up if this gets resolved.

Yes, the API that I assume WiiM is using (GET /me/library/albums) does have a maximum limit of 100, but it supports pagination, where it can be called again with a cursor/token to return more. I'm currently seeing about 130 albums in the list and it's only the few that I've added in the last couple of days. I also tried deleting a few albums from my librarry to see if this helped, but it didn't.

When you search for "My Music" on Amazon music in the WiiM app, do you see the albums you added?

Of the two albums I added to my library an hour ago, only one showed up in the album list. But if I search for "My Music", I will find two albums.

I don't know why, but maybe there is a problem with the Amazon API.

If I search in WiiM within Amazon Music for an album name, the results come back as in either Amazon Music or My Music. If I look at the results in My Music, the album is not listed, but it is listed in Amazon Music results, so this is another work-around.

Yes, either the Amazon API or the way it's being used.

You can log out of Amazon music on the WiiM app and log back in to solve the problem.🙂
 
I have the same problem, I tried many times rebooting, force stop the apps, refresh. Wiim Pro does not add my albums or delete to match my amazon music

It does take Amazon music time to propagate the library contents across connected devices and apps - for example, I’ve even seen that happen with Alexa and Echos. Give it a day or so, or perhaps try logging out of Amazon Music and back in in the WiiM Home app. Also try logging deleting and re installing the WiiM app between that log out and re login to Amazon music.

I've been trying things for a few weeks, un-installed both apps, logged out, refresh, reboot.
Wiim will not update my amazon music, it still has albums I've deleted weeks ago showing up.
Maybe the recent like unlike changes Amazon has done messed things up?
Might have to shut down amazon and try something else like tidal.

For Android phones, deleting the cache in the WiiM home app may help. (I haven't tried this so I don't know if it would be a solution.)
 
Nothing has worked, I'll try contacting Amazon music and see if I can figure it out.
WiiM shows albums I don't have downloaded anymore. Not sure if it's an Amazon issue or WiiM.
Last resort I'll do a free trial of Tidal and try that.

What exactly do you mean by “downloaded”? Have you chosen in the Amazon Music app to download tracks for offline listening in which case I wouldn’t have expected the WiiM Home app to have seen them at all as they’re copy protected and only playable by the Amazon Music app.
 
The albums in amazon music on my WiiM I do not have in my amazon music App anymore.
The albums I have on amazon music App I usually keep the same in the download section as the not downloaded section.
 
I'll +1 on this. For me, it eventually gets back in sync, but very annoying to add new music, or make changes to a playlist, and it takes a day or so to reflect on the Wiim. To be fair, I think this is at least partly on Amazon. I say so because that sync can also be delayed when opening the app on my phone vs my tablet.
 
I recently started to use Amazon on my PC, I've noticed that if I use my music library from the website it has only the like unlike option for removing music. If I use the App on the PC I get the ability to remove from library plus my downloads which are not available on the website music library.
Now since I started to use the PC I've noticed my WiiM Pro app on my Android is now syncing better with the PC. However the Amazon music App on the android is still not in sync.
As long as my WiiM stays in sync I'm happy, I use music unlimited for high res music at home.
I've always used my android phone for syncing to my WiiM.
If I can now figure out how to get the Wiim on my PC to find my Amazon app I can use that but so far I'm struggling.
That's for another day..
