Hi, new WiiM Ultra owner here. I previously had and still own a Bluesound Node. I had countless issues streaming Qobuz with the Node losing a wired Ethernet connection, cannot load content and request timed out messages. Have been back and forth with Bluesound tech support, have replaced modem, router, doubled the internet speed and various router settings all to no avail and the problem still persists.
Thinking I would try a WiiM Ultra, bought one last week, it seems it does work better and more user friendly than the node but it still seems to stumble and choke up on certain songs. Not sure if it is just a bad file or still an issue with my network possibly. Streaming Qobuz with wired Ethernet connection. One song in particular it does not like to play is Joe Satriani- Summer song. It will just pause and not play or eventually play it but freeze up. If I play around with it long enough it will play the track finally. There are other songs but not going to list them all. It is not just limited to hi res files but regular cd quality as well. I see there is a IPv6 setting in the network section in the app. If I turn this setting off it is pretty much unusable, pauses constantly. I have seen reference to leaving this setting turned off in other threads here but in my case it must be on or it won’t work.
Am I the only one with this problem or are others experiencing the same thing? Thanks.
