No Spotify Connect

For some time my Spotify Connect wont find any devices (wiim pro plus) . Qobuz connect is working flawless. Every app is deleted and re installed and updated. I have tried to disable ipv6.

Open the WiiM app, tap the Google Cast section within Device Settings, and try turning Google Cast off. This should make Pro Plus appear in the Spotify app's connection list.

I have done that. Still no wiim found. Tidal connect also work. Just Spotify that refuse to work with my wiim.

In the Spotify app, go to Settings > Devices and disable "Show local devices only". The WiiM may have been registered as being on another network?

Are you sure your Android devices are connected the same network as your Wiim ?
Check and post the IP addreseses of your Wiim and the Android devices

I tried connect android phone to 2g wifi instead of 5g. It work now. Thanks

It doesn't really matter if it's 2G or 5G network you connect to but if you have split your WiFi into sub-nets for the two frequencies the device discovery don't work across those.

You may be able to join the two networks together? Also if there are different access point names.

I have a very standard Google Pixel 7 phone with latest Android and a WiiM Pro.

Problem:
I can't list my WiiM Pro as a Spotify Connect device, i only see my WiiM Pro only as a Google Cast device on my Android Pixel Phone.

On my windows 11 laptop it works as it should.. On my iPad it works also as it should.

SOLUTION for Android:
go to:

1. Settings --> Apps --> Spotify --> Permissions --> Nearby devices ==> CHOOSE: Don't Allow !

2. When listing devices for casting in Spotify there is now a '...' symbol with your listed WiiM audio Device.

3. When you click on it you can choose Spotify Connect as a pre-selected setting for Spotify casting to your WiiM device.



Next time you press the casting icon in Spotify you will see your WiiM as a Spotify Connect device in your list.
