Now playing info on Ultra screen

One of the most common complaints regarding the Ultra is not being able to see the screen clearly from a normal listening position, usually across the room. Hence suggestions for having the info on a tv screen.
While album art is nice to look at, the most important info (for me at least) is the artist, album & track.
So I would like to see a screen option that shows that info in the largest type face possible with, if it can be accommodated, a small bar volume indicator across the bottom. But that is less important than the information about the music playing. My ears tell me how loud it is

Why not rotate over several selected screen options? For example 10 seconds per screen

Indeed - I've already suggested a selectable font size a la Kindle!

I've just resurrected a Joggler (6 ins) to display Now Playing from LMS. Has convinced me that an Ultra (however nice) would be an extravagance given its smaller screen.

I'm puzzled that the Joggler never really took off among LMS users.

True. Beats me why some bright sparks haven't repurposed the Echo Shows in a similar fashion. The Show 8 running squeezelite or material LMS would be perfect.

I would also suggest color option for such info (and all symbols etc) because white icons and text doest match completely to my CD amber leds...

In all my years dealing with Alexa and echo devices, I’ve seen scant evidence of echos having been hacked. I think there was one backdoor in the Show 15 that allowed side loading via the files app that Amazon mistakenly left in the build, but they soon fixed that. Hardware mods are even scarcer.
You can always use the Silk browser on echo shows to access the material skin like here in my Show 15, but of course it’s not playing on the Show as such.

I submitted a ticket to customer support asking the following. I think it would be a good feature:
"Good evening,
Would it be possible to add a playback screen with information about the sampling frequency and the type of file being played, with text that can be read from a distance like the DAC displays?
Informationally and aesthetically it would be very welcome

Wish I could select simple playback screen. Like on cd player. Normal size track number and playing time.
