I use the Ultra in combination with my Sansui Six, a Cambridge Azur 540 C and two Dual 1219, plus a USB hard disk
The speakers are two 12 inch Visaton Dual Cone. My second pair of speakers are two Naim Arriva.
The sub is a REL Q30, which is managed via the Ultra.
I am extremely satisfied with the sound of the Sansui and Ultra connected to the Visaton! What I also like is the fact that my old Sansui, which was connected to a wi-fi socket, has been given a remote control through the back door, as I can control the socket via the Ultra's remote control.
I had just tried an Advance Paris A12 and it didn't sound good at all.
The A12 also had a problem with the Ultra's EQ. After about 5 minutes the music started to pump/pulse. When the EQ was switched off, everything ran normally again. Neither the Sansui nor my Cambridge 540A exhibited this behavior. There was also a mechanical whirring noise from the tube area
Anyway...the A12 is on its way back to the dealer, as I wasn't convinced by its sound.
