Why do I hear such a difference when I pair my Sub Pro to the Amp Pro?
And not in a good way, a barrly notice that the Sub is doing anything when it's paired.

If I unpair the Sub in the app the extra layer of low is there, if I pair again it's gone.
(even +15 is hardly noticable)

Was wondering for a few days now if the Sub still worked, so messed around in the app and after unpairing the Sub I noticed it stilled worked.

Maybe a last firmware thing, worked when I got the Sub.

My Sub Pro is paired to my Ultra, but I don't hear any difference whether it is paired, or unpaired.
I have plenty of bass available with my Crossover Frequency set to 75 Hz, and Level set to +3 dB.

Sub Pro Firmware Version 5.2.803853 dated 20260107

Have you tried a Reset to Default of your Sub Pro?

I saw in the other post a mention over max volume setting, back at 100% and its better.

But I do like the setting of "main speaker output bass" to be enabled and that is not available when its paired.

Strange 🤔

Did you perform any RoomFit measurements that could show what's really going on in the bass region?

Roomfit is off.
I have bought a Dayton Audio mic and try to run Roomfit a few times but I dont like the results and put it off again.

Have the sub paired again the last week, think the 100% volume setting was a good suggestion, and having the crossover a bit lower at 55Hz.
These boys have a decent low.

You can perform measurements with RoomFit and still not use the result.

I asked because I have one, and this exists: https://faq.wiimhome.com/en/support/solutions/articles/72000645555-how-to-set-up-your-wiim-sub-pro

Limitations (Wireless Mode Only)

We are actively working to resolve the following limitation as soon as possible.
Currently, When the WiiM Sub Pro is used in wireless mode, it may not produce bass during the following types of music playback:
  • Alexa multi-room music
  • Roon Ready
  • LMS
  • Google Cast

So I had to change my Airplay workaround from using Sharetunes2w with LMS to a Belkin Soundform Connect. Maybe I should try a Wiim Mini as an Airplay Receiver connecting it via TOSlink to the Amp Ultra , but I would prefer not to spend more money with this problem, that I hope Wiim fixes it soon.

Hello,

What is this solution with max volume settings?

I bought this sub today and it is really bad in paired mode. There is no main speaker output bass in settings when paired (almost no bass at all). In paired mode when I set +15 there is bas but it is awful. I was using 15 years old Canton sub and it works a lot better for me.

I am very disappointed :(
I try to change some settings but I think I gonna return it:(

What size room are you using your Sub Pro in? I have no problems with mine which I’m using in paired mode, and have plenty of bass available.

I’m using it with a pair of bookshelf speakers, and have my Crossover Frequency set to 75 Hz, and Level at +3 dB, and listen to allsorts of music at volume levels between around 60 - 80 dB measured from my listening position, which is approximately 2m from my speakers.

35m2 (My listening position is 3 meters from my speakers but sub is across the room behind me in the corner of the room - it is only place I can put my sub) I was trying every settings (dB, Crossover). In paired mode there was almost no bass at all. When I changed +10 - 15 dB it was but it was awful. Boomy and like from plastic box.
I tried Room correction (almost the same).
When I changed to unpaired mode it was a lot better but my very old Canton sounds a lot better.
I was using it wired mode.
I returned it 2 hours after buying.
Maybe it was damaged.

I was so happy when I purchased it today and connecting... But very disappointed when I listen how it sounds :(

We need to know your entire setup, all devices from source to speakers and how they are connected to each other.

A defect is always possible, but lets check the hardware connections and software settings first. It's much easier than replacing the sub and it's free. ;)

Hello,

I have WiiM Amp Ultra + Dali Sonik 7 (Melodika cables) + CantonAS 80 SC connected to LFE port via chinch

I have forgotten to say that WiiM Sub Pro looks outstanding and it is heavy. I really wanted him to play well

Sorry, I overlooked the fact that you already returned the sub, so no further troubleshooting is possible.

I noticed that you mention "Main speakers Output Bass", which might indicate that you want the sub to increase the bass level. This is usually not the intended function of a subwoofer, but may still be your personal preference.

You could use RoomFit to take a measurement of your current setup. Even if you do not apply the RoomFit results in the end, it will show the raw SPL of your system, which might help in understanding how you like your bass performance.

Hello,

Today I bought used SVS-SB 2000. Now there is bass! It is working great but my old Canton doesn't seem much worse.
I thing there was something wrong with WiiM Sub Pro because Canton, SVS are working great in the same setup. I am almost sure WiiM Sub is great piece of speaker but...not the copy I have had :(

Best regards

"Main speakers Output Bass"

Hope they will add this setting in paired mode soon, I want the sub to support my main speakers in the lows not to take over.

Like the sub a little better when it's not paired, but then it's not always automatic on when I start my Amp Pro.
(Use a smartplug to turn both WiiM's of when I'm not at home, 6 Watt's is 10% of my standbye power usage)

So your main speakers simply don't have enough output to increase the bass level through EQ?

They have sufficient bass.
I just think the bass support and the slightly lower range provided by the subwoofer are a nice addition. So I don't really want to set a crossover point.

I cannot say I understand what you're after now ... :)

Isn't sufficient bass ... well ... sufficient? If it's just about extending to lower frequencies, the setting a well defined crossover frequency for sub and mains is clearly superior.

Having said that you should do what makes you enjoy music the most. I just can't get over your motivation.
