I have all my podcasts on an app called Pocket Casts. The only way o know to listen to them through my Wiim Ultra is via bluetooth.

Is there any other way than that to listen to podcasts on my audio system from my phone?

Is there a podcast app which has a ‘connect’ capacity (like ‘tidal connect’), or is there a native way within the Wiim Home App to find any podcasts?

You’ll find podcasts under TuneIn in the WiiM home app, while services like Amazon music or Spotify should allow you to cast to your WiiM from their app.

Pocket Casts has the chromecast feature. It works with my wiim pro. Should work with Ultra.

Just been doing a bit of housekeeping on my various systems (mainly Lyrion), which led me to looking for podcasts on the Wiim system.

Hmm... Using Tunein for podcasts is a mess. There really should be a dedicated podcast service (eg. Pocket Casts). Lumping podcasts under TuneIn is primitive 😁 and clumsy.

Here's how Lyrion does it (recently played are actually subscribed podcasts)

Pocket Casts supports Chromecast (I use it.) Can't think what benefits there would be in WiiM building it into the WHA, I don't imagine it's very widely used among WiiM customers.
Yeah, as I’ve said before, I think it’s a fool’s errand to try and squeeze every service on the planet into the WiiM Home app, especially when there are very functional standalone apps for low or lossy resolution audio services where Chromecast (or dare I say airplay or Bluetooth) would suffice.

We don’t seem put out when we have to use separate apps for Netflix, Apple TV+, Prime Video etc etc on our TVs for video, but why do some crave a universal audio app for their WiiM devices?
