I use the Android TV version, and in that the 'visulisation' is merely 3 rhythmically moving bars. It’s a very minor ‘inconvenience’, I know.
But I’d rather not see the audio spectrum visualization on the Now Playing app. Could it be made optional?
That’s it.
And that also goes for the WiiM Home App.I use the Android TV version, and in that the 'visulisation' is merely 3 rhythmically moving bars.
Does the Apple version have something different / better, or the same simple bars?
And yes, I'm totally with you on this - get rid of it!
Is it really that much of a eyesore? And that also goes for the WiiM Home App.
No need to have these animated icons jumping up and down.
To me it is.Is it really that much of a eyesore?![]()
You can still see it, as the text is highlighted. It's a handy indicator for me, as I can see at a glance which device is active.
What does that mean? I believe the text is only highlighted on the currently selected device card. You can still see it, as the text is highlighted.
It's precisely because it's moving that you immediately know it's active. I understand the TV app's indicator being displayed on the playback screen can be distracting. But that's not the case with WHA.The icon could also still be there, just not moving!
A minor issue of course but still annoying.
Never looking at the device card. What does that mean? I believe the text is only highlighted on the currently selected device card.

Well, I was talking about the device card.Never looking at the device card.

No need to show moving icon on the track. Track is highlighted and the Icon changes anyway. I would like a static icon.
But as said, minor annoyance. And if people like it, I can live with it.
Must admit a similar thought crossed my mind this morning on another post about the spectrum analyser display and the potential impact of processing higher resolution tracks - I wouldn’t notice as the ultra display is something I just glance at from time to time to see what’s playing…Are you staring at the device card the whole time while listening to music?![]()
Of course I don't look at the WHA all the time. Actually only when changing something. The animated icons is still annoying me thenMust admit a similar thought crossed my mind this morning on another post about the spectrum analyser display and the potential impact of processing higher resolution tracks - I wouldn’t notice as the ultra display is something I just glance at from time to time to see what’s playing…

On the TV app, yes.Is it really that much of a eyesore?
Yes, I said I could understand that.On the TV app, yes.
I know it's playing, I can hear the music and the lyrics are moving on, if enabled.
I don't need three useless bars dancing along on their fixed rhythm, it's simply distracting.
Personally, I put this in the same bucket as that waving cat on the Sound page - childish and not indicative of a professional product.
