You mean showing negative db? It would not make sense for the Ultra as it does not drive speakers so what is it relating to? Amps show it to indicate how closed to 0db you are that being the point at which you might start to hear distortion.

Depends how curious your mind is did it not ever occur to look at why the -db is displayed as that seems the more odd thing where most devices have 1-10 (or 11) on them.
I was uncertain about this idea and had to think about it for a little while. I came to the conclusion that this is a valid idea.
The output of the Ultra can be either analogue or digital. 0 dB has a well defined meaning in both domains: It's either the maximum output voltage, 2 Vrms by default (analogue) or 0 dBFS (digital). Also, in both cases negative dB values have a well defined meaning. Other manufacturers offer this option as well.
Do I really need this? No. Would I use it if it was available? Probably. So, here is my upvote.
(Won't be disappointed if WiiM pass on this one, though.)
