The remote is not always responsive. When not using the remote for a longer time, when trying to change the volume, or when trying to turn off the unit, I have to click multiple times to get any response. Do you have it like that too? Is this some kind of standby mode?

I haven't noticed that with my six remote controls. Have you checked the battery level in the WiiM Home app?

Version 41, Battery level: Normal

This only happens until first response. Then it works smoothly and without delays

I have noticed when the batteries are getting low, the remote control symbol in the device tab either comes and goes momentarily, whether that means it is losing its Bluetooth pairing, and occasionally the symbol is missing altogether.

This is a sign that I need to replace the batteries, and re pair it with the device.

I think I see the same. I don't use the remote often but when I do it never responds the first time I press a button.

I see the remote as not connected and unresponsive until I press the on/off, then it immediately gets connected and the WiiM Ultra goes into standby. When pressed again it turns on but with no sound. Have to press mute twice to get sound back again.

This is a bit strange.

I am not sure what you mean, but a single press of the play button on the remote will bring Ultra back from standby and resume music playback.

Maybe he means the remote doesn't appear to be connected in the Home app until a button is pressed.

As I wrote, the remote is not responding and not showing in WHA as connected until I press the on/off. When start playing there are no sound until pressing Mute twice.

I have seen others reporting similar issues. Anybody know if this is the intended behaviour? Note that I don't use the remote much and it stay connected for some time after used.

Does it mean that the pairing has been deactivated? If so, does it work correctly after pairing again?

I use my two remotes 1~2 times daily and have never lost connection or had them unpaired. However, I have not checked what happens if I leave them on for an extended period of time.

But I noticed that the two remotes I haven't used in over a month have been unpaired at some point.

The remote is not unpaired. It doesn't show up in WHA initially but as soon as I press on/off it's added again. No need to do a re-paring.

Just pressing e.g. volume or mute on the remote do however not do anything.

Hello,
Both remotes of my Pro Plus and Ultra does this annoying thing.
Nothing to ruin the day, of course, but sometimes it could create problems if a quick remote access is needed.

Pressing volume + works for me. After the first press the remote appears in the app but the device doesn't wake up, a second press wakes the device.

When I press 1-4 or volume on the remote my WiiM amp turns on from standby and plays the preset station. In both scenarios for me.

A question for anybody with remote control issues, do you leave your devices on standby when not in use, or do you disconnect from the mains when not in use?

I leave my devices on standby, and have not had any issues with my six remote controlled WiiM devices responding to their respective remote controls on first button press.
