Just curious -- is there an official source for refurbished Wiim units? Amazon doesn't seem to show any. About a year ago, I found a what was described as a refurbed Pro Plus on eBay for about 75% of list price, but haven't seen anything since. A Google search doesn't seem to show anything. It seems with the generous return policies that Amazon and others have, one would think there would be a steady stream of returned units that would need to be moved at a discount, but I'm not finding them. Any thoughts?

I don't think there is an official place for that.

With Amazon, some returned items are resold at Amazon Outlet. However, I have never seen a WiiM device listed on Outlet before.

Were you born that cynical? 😉🤣
With Amazon some returns could be unopened. I just bought a phono preamp last week, this week the price has gone down £10. If I could be bothered I could send it back. When this has happened before I have contacted Amazon to ask for a refund of the difference but the system doesn't allow that so they end up with a return 🤷‍♂️🤦‍♂️

Yeah, guess they do that to force you into the hassle of a return and re-order, hoping you can’t be bothered.

I guess the eBay Linkplay store is what I ran across last year. I have four Wiim players and don't really need anything right now (thought briefly about upgrading my last RPi player and then decided to stick with what I have) but it just got me to wondering what they do with all the units that inevitably get returned. Schiit, for example, has a very clear "B-Stock & Closeout" section on their web site and many other companies have easily accessible "refurb" goods. Guess it's a mystery!
