Spotify Connect Lossless issue

Hello everyone,

I’m suddenly experiencing an issue with my Wiim Amp using spotify connect.
I have always played music at lossless quality, today when I tried to play some music spotify showed the song as playing but there was no sound coming out of the speakers.
After a lot of troubleshooting i realized that if I select the ‘’High’’ quality everything works as normal, so the issue is only with lossless quality.
Anybody else experiencing the same issue?

no, i disabled google cast. The wiim amp appears only as a spotify connect device.


Probably the same thing—I think it's a temporary glitch with Spotify Connect. Can you play normally if you set the sound quality to "Auto" in Spotify app?

Yes, if I set any other quality setting other than “lossless” everything works fine
 
Still the same.... 🤷 320 kbit is max. ☹️
You may need to reboot your phone, or clear the cache (or reinstall) the Spotify app.

I've been playing lossless audio for about five hours without any issues. However, it's possible that problems remain unresolved in some areas.

What a bother...

It looks like Spotify underestimated how many users would switch to lossless but that is just a hunch on my part.
I can't imagine it has anything to do with the number of users, because I can listen to lossless audio via my account on my smartphone and both tablets, just not on the streaming amplifier. In my opinion, the problem is solely with the Connect function. Spotify simply can't manage it, even after years of repeatedly postponing the launch.
 
At the moment the problem persists. 320kbps is the max quality. The problem seems to be more on Spotify end. Has anybody tried to contact their support?
 
Spotify's statement is a joke. If the problem was resolved four days ago, why has it started happening to me yesterday, and why are complaints still coming in? Does Spotify think people are stupid? I've cancelled my subscription and explained the problem in my cancellation notice.
 
So some accounts work, others don't seems to be the latest news.
