Hello all. I’ve recently purchased a Wiim pro plus to add to my main stereo set up. This consists of technics 1210 turntable into a preamp into a power amp. Yesterday I thought I’d try to plug the TT via the preamp into the Wiim and then stream to my Bluetooth headphones. Hey presto - it worked! What I’d really like to do is stream the TT to my Amazon firestick and hear the TT on my tv system over WiFi not Bluetooth. I could not find a way to do this. Is it possible to stream from the Wiim to the firestick? Or do I need to buy another Wiim product.
Thanks.

There are a few methods discussed. The easiest is the Pi plus piCorePlayer plus USB Audio Interface. If you have the hardware it takes minutes to setup
Thanks. I was hoping for something less DIY. What about streaming from the Line in inputs (Turn Table) of the pro plus to another Wiim product over WiFi (not Bluetooth)? Or directly to network speakers? Doesn’t it do this out of the box?

You can feed the line-out of one WiiM device to another if they’re linked in a Linkplay/WiiM group.

That depends on the protocols those network speakers support. If they are Linkplay based, then probably. If not, you’d need to wait for WiiM to release their DLNA casting feature for it to handle DLNA compatible speakers, or simply use a single Bluetooth pairing.

Thanks for the info. Looks like link play is the key or another Wiim. Is there a list of link play speakers anywhere? I’m guessing that DNLA casting is part of the roadmap? Thanks.

WiiM have recently released WiiM Edition Audio Pro speakers in the USA (hopefully they’ll come to other regions too - see https://forum.wiimhome.com/threads/...-of-the-audio-pro-a10-mkii-and-c10-mkii.5207/). Edifier are also often mentioned. One way of checking is to download the speaker’s app - if it looks like a cut down version of the WiiM app, then there’s a good chance it’ll be fine. However, if you can, get the WiiM Edition AudioPro speakers for maximum compatibility

An out of the box solution for Amazon products is an Amazon Echo Link.
I have one connected from WiiM Ultra optical out to Echo Link optical in. Then use Alexa app to setup speaker groups and setup Echo Link's Line Redistribution.
I can play turntable, CD, DNLA from NAS to any Echo speaker and Amazon Firestick Max (not all Firesticks work) in the house through Wifi. I also use Bluetooth from Echo in some rooms to a Bluetooth speaker for improved quality of sound over Echo Show internal speakers.
Echo Link blurb for UK states that line redistribution not supported for line out and Bluetooth, however mine sends whatever is sent to the WiiM optical out. I can play from line in, phono in, optical in, DNLA, Wifi, to any Echo/Firestick Max in the house.

Yeah, mentioned several times in the forum in the post below and the link in its comments (which was a way to use echo devices in Roon), but it is rather a special case where you already have echo speakers :)

I did read about this and it looks promising. One of the audiopro speakers with ARC would solve a lot of issues for me. I could have powered speakers for the TV and stream my vinyl from the pro plus set up. I might email Audio pro and ask about compatibility 👍
