I previously owned a Macbook and would stream music from iTunes to my WiiM over WiFi.

I now own a Windows laptop and would like to stream music from MusicBee, my preferred media player, to my WiiM over WiFi.

Put even more simply, how do I send my PC audio to WiiM over WiFi? Please tell me this is possible. Why oh why did I switch to Windows?

You could install Emby on your pc and as long you enable dlna in Emby you will be able to send to Wiim from the pc. Alternatively, you can access your files via the WiiM app on a phone or tablet

Disclaimer: I don't have a Windows PC and can't test any of this. That said, here is one way to do it:

Stream your personal music library with Windows Media Player

Or the Windows version of iTunes supports Airplay, so you could try downloading that. There's also a commercial product called AirParrot. Google tells me that MusicBee has plugins for Airplay and Chromecast, but appears that neither one of them is being maintained now.

Which WiiM device do you have?

You could try MusicBee with SWYH.

foobar2000 and MediaMonkey work well, although neither do gapless playback properly i.e. they concatenate tracks to produce a single stream meaning that track metadata is not available to the renderer (same with SWYH).

There is a UPnP plugin for MusicBee, but unfortunately this is no longer actively supported. It might stop working with any new release of MusicBee and bugs will not get fixed. It supports server mode (exposing the MB library to DLNA clients) and controller mode (streaming from MusicBee to another device, just as you would like to).

If this still sounds like an option, here is a link to what might be the most current relevant post to get things going:

...no gapless playback (you need to use continious stream, then without track information/selection).

Best experience with foobar < 2.0, with foo_upnp plugin
