Subwoofer out settings?

I found that using the built in crossover on my RSL sub sounds better than using the crossover in the Ultra.

I have also been informed that sending the full frequency range (bypass mode) to the sub increases distortion.

Should I use both?
Like setting the WiiM crossover to something like 80?

Could you describe in more detail what you mean by "better"
I had the xover on the sub in bypass mode. My RSL sub has this option.
I then ran just the WiiM xover.
It sounded "muddy" when compared to using just the sub xover.

What are you speakers? Which crossover frequency did you set in the WiiM Home app? Which crossover frequency are you setting on your sub? Did you configure the delay setting when using the WiiM crossover and if yes, how did you do it?

Sending the full frequency range to the subwoofer does not increase distortion. That's false information.

Not applying a high pass filter to the main speakers (by not applying the WiiM crossover) keeps the main speakers distortion at the same level as if you didn't have a subwoofer. High pass filtering the main speakers reduces distortion.

ADS L1090 44-27,000 Hz.

I've tried 55-80 on the WiiM xover.
Pictured are my sub settings.
I've never attempted timing.

So you aren't setting the same crossover frequency when you compare the WiiM to the subwoofer crossover. You tried 55-80Hz for the WiiM crossover but the setting on your sub is much higher than 80Hz.
