A lot has happened this year and I have learned a lot.
Thanks to the many members I have met here.

I may be coming here less often as I have to watch Squid Game on Nerflix starting today.๐Ÿ˜

I hope that 2025 will be a great year for all of you.
Please stay warm and enjoy. ๐Ÿค—

First of all Iโ€™d like to thank @RyanWithWiim and @QuarryHunslet for their valiant efforts as admin and moderator - is it just me, or are things quieter these days? ;)

Iโ€™d also like to thank the usual stalwarts whose advice and support form the backbone of the forum in my mind. I wonโ€™t embarrass them by naming them individually, they know who they are - just have a glance at the leader boardโ€ฆ

Thanks also to the entire WiiM team for the advances theyโ€™ve made with new kit and new features over the past year and Iโ€™m sure they have a few more surprises up their sleeves for next year.

Finally, Iโ€™d also like to thank the wider community of members who by and large (with thankfully very few exceptions) make the forum a friendly and interesting place to frequent.

A guid new year to ane an' a' ๐Ÿ˜ƒ

I'm grateful to be alive in a time and situation where I can worry about things like audio quality of my music, and have options to improve it beyond what my ears can distinguish. It's really an amazing time to be alive-- to not have to worry about food or shelter, and to have the technology available to stream music at 24/192 lossless and be able to appreciate it.

I'm grateful to Wiim and all its employees for building a product that lets me finally dump Sonos and feel confident that I'm relatively future proof (as if Wiim starts to suck one day, I can just switch to LMS and keep using the same hardware). And I'm grateful Wiim as a company seems to want to engage with users and listen to what we want.

And I'm grateful for all of the community and users who kept the demand for high quality audio alive, even while the world (including me) was going to cell phones and Bluetooth and MP3s. That passion and demand meant there was an ecosystem for me to adopt into once audio quality became a priority. Wiim is only a small part of that- there's artists and labels that keep and distribute high-res recordings, there's services like HDTracks and Tidal and Qobuz who make them available, and there's all the customers willing to pay for quality, without whom none of any of this would exist.
