Why is the tidal app different in the wiim app it's so frustrating and not very user friendly ! Also why can't you que songs ?
It instructs the Tidal service to send the music direct from the cloud to your WiiM device rather than your phone, and your phone app could then be viewed as a remote control for the playback of the audio stream. It means you have full access to all the features that the native phone app provides rather than the subset made available thru the API to third parties like WiiMHi thanks for reply I'm new to wiim and tidal, what does the connect do in the tidal app ?
Same with Bluos, as written above, a Tidal's fix should be released soon. Tidal is not fast as WiiM support but is anyway better than the bluos one, where every two updates I get a new problem and the fix is always very slow. The last one made impossible to use my WiiM mini on Nad toslink at 44.1KHz..Lately I have lots of trouble with the tidal app on Android: when playing an album, if I decide to switch to another song or album later (say 15 minutes after starting an album), I will have to reconnect to the WiiM. No such problem when I use WiiM app and it's a new behavior from the tidal app.
Here 2.147 was available todayAll I can write again is that Tidal is aware of the many different problems with its Android app and they write: all will be fine soon with an upcoming app 2.147.xxx. No schedule, soon is a question of feeling.
I saw this App with interest. But before buying it, I have a couple of questions. In the compatibility list that the App sends you to, there is the Topping D50s, but not the D70 Pro Sabre that I have. Maybe because it is too new? Do you think the App will work with my DAC? I would think so, but I would like to be more certain.I've been using USB Audio Player Pro, UAPP, with UPNP PlugInn for some time now with Tidal (previously my favorite app for headphones/USB Dac). It runs very reliably without problems and has a beautiful interface. It is possible to send the stream directly to the device. Playing/streaming from NAS is possible, too. One of my favorite apps, not quite cheap but very sophisticated and good.

Another question concerns the USB cable. In the App guide it shows the cables to equip yourself with, but I don't see the one I use.
Do you think this USB cable is supported or is it ok?

Thanks for a reply
Hi @Zap Rekowski ex HulleHi Maurizio, glad to hear from you, we are old WiiM veterans of the first hour (in my first life I was here as Hulle Sack). First of all, I would like to point out that the Streaming PlugInn has to be purchased in addition to the app, the total investment would be somewhere around € 15. But it's worth it!
Regarding your question: Yes, I believe it would work (OTG-capable cable is required), but I recommend asking the developer directly. I had similar questions a few years ago which were answered promptly and helpfully:

I also recommend taking a look at their website and forum:

I've been using UAPP for about 10 years, one of the few apps that is installed on every new smartphone and tablet (alongside Neutron, Poweramp and Bubble UPNP). I have my old smartphones LG V30 and V40 in the drawer and use them regularly for pure music enjoyment via wired headphones as UAPP supports the implemented DACs and can control them directly.
I also used the old Fiio Olympus II E10 with UAPP.
Now that the Streaming PlugInn has been completed, I find myself only using UAPP because it covers all my needs (streaming with Tidal, from NAS with WiiM Mini, Pro, Ultra; LDAC-BT headphone use; wired headphone use) completely and flawlessly, according to the motto “One For All”.
...just noticed that the new album suggestions do not conform to the Tidal app. This is the first time I've noticed this.Song lyrics are not taken into account, the suggestions are identical to the Tidal app.
I noticed this, third part apps give different suggestions, Bluos, WiiM and mconnect are the same but different and less effective than genuine Tidal...just noticed that the new album suggestions do not conform to the Tidal app. This is the first time I've noticed this.
I'm sure I checked this some time ago and it was identical. It seems to be more of a coincidence. UAPP received an update a few days ago, maybe it got corrupted in the process... I'll keep an eye on it over the next few days. Or after next update.I noticed this, third part apps give different suggestions, Bluos, WiiM and mconnect are the same but different and less effective than genuine Tidal
