Troubleshooting alarm

I have a Wiim amp that has an alarm to play a radio station each weekday morning. Sometimes the radio doesn't play and I get the default beeping instead.

I know that there are a number of possible reasons for this, but I want to understand why this is happening in my case. We have good internet (FTTP), local caching DNS server, and no other connectivity problems at all.

Is there some way I can find out exactly why the Wiim amp decided to play the tone rather than stream the radio?

Presumably it is an default alarm sound that is made when the radio cannot play normally due to a temporary network failure or other reason.
