To avoid ads I updated to TuneIn pro. On my smartphone the music starts as expected without an ad. However when I stream music from Tune In on my WiiM Amp ultra It still start with the welcome words from TuneIn and approx 30 seconds with ads. I've already logged out and in again to TuneIn but the ads are still there so it looks like I'm using the basic TuneIn app on the Wiim.
Is there a way how I also can use the TuneIn pro app on the Wiim Amp ultra

When you open TuneIn in the WHA there‘s a settings button (cogwheel) in the top right corner. From there you come onto a login page. I can‘t test it as I don‘t have such an account. But it looks like that this could be it.

I know you could probably be using your TuneIn account on your phone/computer as well, but another way to avoid TuneIn's built-in advertisements on the WiiM is to take the direct streaming URL's of your favourite radio stations and manually add them to the WiiM Home app.

… or use vTuner. Seems slightly better.

Apart from the recording function what can you do more with Audials than for example vTuner or other radio apps?

i dislike 'tunein' and defo wouldn't pay for it, as it limits the accesible radio stations, i think its the only option on sonos which is partly why im dumping naggy restricted sonos, maybe something to do with a 'licence fee to tune in' not sure, but vTuner definately the best so far with worldwide coverage

A huge radio database & podcasts - metadata when available.

this is a great 'app' ios/android and can access via browser too, might need VPN in UK.
