This Pangea Audio C7 power cord fit perfectly without interfering with the inputs.
I got this one as an open box for $40 from Audio Advisor.

Do you feel that it's made the ultra even better?

If so I hope you enjoy it :)

Yes the cheap cord is where WiiM saved cost.
It is the weak link, everything matters.

I use Transparent Audio power cords for everything and can tell it helps making subtle background cues clear.

What are you hearing compared to the stock cable and other cables that you have tried?

It just sounds less hashy in the volume swings loud to quiet, more quiet when it supposed to be between notes is how I feel.

The beauty of WiiM is the cost and value for what you get. The cables on these websites are a 1/3 or more of the Ultra or Amp. Not much value for “subtle” differences imho.

I paid much less than a 1/3 of the cost of the ultra and the difference was worth it, as it now sounds cleaner and better at lower volumes.

Before you all spend unnecessary money on new cables maybe you should read this article about COMB FILTERING.

This is an old argument, but despite all his nice graphs, I just do not buy his analysis. The implication is that if you move your head an inch you will hear something different. Experience does not support that claim. If he wants to really support his claim, he needs to do the experiment with real people, not measuring devices.

Who in 2024 still denies the important impact of EVERY part of the power chain must have lived at TDSOTM for at least the last forty years.

The switch-mode PSU inside doesn't care about the voltage coming in through the standard cable or an overpriced cable with twisted, silver plated conductors, a fancy sleeve and oversized connectors. Have you checked the type of electricity cabling running through the rest your house? I don't think there's much silver to be found there ;)

To buy decent interconnects with proper shielding and decent RCA connectors, I can still understand.
