Hi,
New to WiiM due to a lightening strike that took out my Nuvo Simplese system (very different technology). I’ve read many of the forum threads related to album art problems on USB. Most of the discussion went straight over my head. So I’ll try and pose the problem in my own words.
I scanned a USB containing about 2,500 songs. When I used the WiiM Home app to browse around, I found about 10% of the tracks were lacking album art. I followed instructions (placing .jpg images in the folder along side the song file) and achieved 100% coverage. After a final rescan, I browsed album by album and track by track and all was good. I was now ready to begin playing songs on my Samsung TV. While browsing through my folders, all was as it should be (image thumbnails match album/song.). When a began playing songs I thought that I had entered the Twilight Zone. Many of the album pictures didn’t match the songs. Is there an easy way to correct or should I just listen with my eyes closed (which may very well be the best way to enjoy music anyway).
I spend 35 years as an IT professional, beginning in the stone age (punch cards, mainframes, and mostly men in white shirts with plastic pocket protectors [many still with ink stains on their shirts]). I always considered myself a problem solver.
I know that this problem is pretty much a drop in the bucket of problems; however, my analytical mind would still like to know “What’s goin’ on Lucy! You got some splainin’ to do.”
Thank,
Lance
