Use Wiim Ultra's USB out and USB in at the same time?

I'm thinking about getting a Wiim Ultra. For the beginning I want to connect to my AIYIMA T9 Pro through USB. Music will be mostly streamed from USB drive.

As far as I know there is only one USB port on the Wiim Ultra. Is it possible to connect to a USB hub such that the Ultra will play music from USB drive while streaming data via USB out to the T9 pro?

A 2.5" hard drive will not work with the unpowered USB hub alone (only a USB stick). But if a 5v power supply can be attached to it (preferably with low noise ..e.g. iFi power2), then it is universal.

Don't bother with expensive power supplies. It doesn't matter, a good phone charger is fine.
Well, I don't agree with that.. ;) It remained after the sale of the Wiim ProPlus... the cheap 5v power supply wasn't ideal there either.. (I think it's okay if it doesn't pollute the USB with noise--towards the DAC)

This is the constant discussion.

For the hub, the power is for the attached devices only and not for the signal.

A very bad power supply can affect the analog in/out (ground loop) and may also make so much noise on the hub that data packages are lost due to error detection on the receiver. To be audible you shall however have a lot of errors and then it will be noise in the audio, not a change of the sound (or sound stage, as some think).
