Wiim Pro with Gustard X16 DAC, Aragon 24k preamp, Aragon 2004 amp, B&W DM 640i speakers. Wondering how different native Wiim stream handling is from Spotify or Tidal connect. I stream high res audio from Amazon music and wondering if the stream handling can affect sound quality.

I don’t see how it can differ Tbh. Wiim doesn’t have “native” handling for Spotify, that’s all done via Spotify Connect, and the other means, whether thru the WiiM home app or the streaming services native apps using their Connect mechanisms, are all bit perfect.

The only difference is that the WiiM Home App uses a different API to the native Client in some instances but the files they reference are the same.
