A very practical option in WiiM Ultra would be Initial Volume / Default Volume option right after powering on the device - meaning you can set a specific volume. This is useful if you listen loudly during the day and then wake up from Tidal/Spotify in the evening or at night, and you know the effect.....

Yes, I have requested that several times too. I currently use an Alexa routine to reset the WiiM volume (to 90%) every morning at 7am. This works well.

This can currently be done with smart presets, but I agree that a default start up volume setting would be useful for any other means of powering up from standby.

You can always try various roundabout methods, but I think it's no problem for the @WiiM Support to have the function available directly from the app's settings. Thanks @Wiimer @QuarryHunslet for the reply. Maybe development team will try to add this useful feature.

The Ultra has replaced a preamp + combination of other sources I used to use. From a functionality point of view it's better than what it's replaced in all but one area - my previous system allowed me to configure a default volume on power-up. I would love to be able to do the same with the Ultra.

Can this be added as a preference?
