Please review the WiiM Amp update release notes below. If you encounter any issues, feel free to reach out to us. This firmware update is being rolled out in stages, with devices updating sequentially over the next few days.

What's New:
  1. Persistent Group Support: Enhanced quick selection and synchronization for multi-room audio across devices. Learn more
  2. Replay Gain Enhancements: Replay Gain now supported for USB, NAS, Samba, and local libraries (requires app version 3.1.0).
  3. Soundtrack SDK Enhancement: Upgraded for a better listening experience.
  4. TIDAL Connect SDK Update: Upgraded for improved playback stability and resolved crash issues.
  5. Remote Volume Step Customization: Adjust the volume step for each press of the remote’s volume buttons (requires app version 3.1.0).
  6. Remote Troubleshooting Improvements: Remote exception status is now provided to the app to assist with troubleshooting (requires app version 3.1.0).
  7. Network Setup: In Setup mode, hold the play/pause button for 3 seconds to cancel the setup.
Bug Fixes:
  1. Alarm Fix: Alarms now stop correctly, even when the selected music is unavailable.
  2. Playback Enhancements: Fixed playback status after seeking, resolved artwork issues via Google Cast, and added sample rate/bit depth display on Alexa.
  3. USB Indexing: Addressed issues with artist and metadata display for certain music files.
  4. General Fixes: Various performance improvements and bug fixes.

Disappointing. I don’t see why control of other players should be impacted just because others are updating
When I rebooted WHA to try it, the device screen appeared and I was able to control other WiiMs. But the update seems to have paused; I'll try again when the Amp update comes in 🙂.

Had the same a week ago (before this bulk update).
Started a device update, killed the app so I could use a different device, the first device needed its update to be started again.
Seems there may be some app interaction required during the update process if started by the app.
Strange, as the devices can auto update when they feel like it with no app involvement.
 
Seems odd, call API ask for latest version get latest version.
Don’t know what you mean by that. When you check for the latest version, you’re checking for your device - if it’s not available for yours yet, the version you currently have is the latest for your particular device. When it is available for your device, you’ll then get the latest public version..
 
Thanks for adding the option to customise the volume adjustment step when using the remote :)
