My WiiM Amp Pro wont let me pair more than 1 device at a time, if i want to switch to my phone from my laptop as a bluetooth input I have to completely unpair and then cycle thru the inputs and go thru the pairing process again. Just turning off bluetooth on my phone wont let me pair it on my laptop. In addition to that, my laptop doesnt play any audio over bluetooth but the phone does. Using windows 11, it shows connected and shows the media information on the WiiM Home app and shows it as playing, but no sound comes through. Why is the bluetooth not working? Ive tried restarting repairing etc. This is for bluetooth input. Appreciate any help.

Hi,

The WiiM supports multi-pairing, so it can be paired with multiple Bluetooth devices. However, simultaneous connections are not possible, so you need to disconnect Bluetooth on the currently connected device before connecting another device.

After the phone is unpaired with the WiiM, can the PC still hear the sounds from the WiiM?

Also, not sure what is happening with your device, but can you connect your PC to another Bluetooth device (e.g. headphones) and play it successfully? In that case, please submit a ticket via the feedback section of the WiiM app.

I have never tried connecting to a Windows PC, I will try later.

Turning off bluetooth on my phone (disconnecting it) doesnt allow my Wiim Pro amp to be discoverable or connect to other devices at all, I can only pair 1 device at a time.
My Windows 11 PC plays audio to other bluetooth headphones just fine. My phone also plays to the WiiiM Amp Pro just fine.
Thanks

I was able to pair both my Win 11 PC and my phone to my WiiM Amp.

When I play YouTube on my PC, I hear sound fine from the Amp pro.

Here is the connection procedure I followed. (Unpair all devices connected to the Amp beforehand.)

  1. Switch the Amp's input to Bluetooth.
  2. On the Bluetooth screen of the PC, click "Add Device" and add it as a Bluetooth audio device. (Do not pair with "Others")
  3. After successful pairing, test the operation on YouTube.
  4. Switch off Bluetooth on the PC.
  5. Switch the Amp input to Wi-Fi and then to Bluetooth.
  6. Pair the Amp on the phone's Bluetooth screen.
  7. Test with the phone's YouTube app.

After disconnecting the phone from the Amp, I turned on the PC's Bluetooth and reconnected to the Amp, and the PC's sound could be played from the Amp.

As there is no problem with my Amp Pro, it is probably a issue with your installation or PC. is the distance between the PC and the WiiM Amp too far away?

The distance is not too far away. its only a few feet away.

  1. Switch the Amp's input to Bluetooth.
  2. On the Bluetooth screen of the PC, click "Add Device" and add it as a Bluetooth audio device. (Do not pair with "Others")
  3. After successful pairing, test the operation on YouTube. Does not play sound, youtube video name shows up as metadata in WiiM Home app.
  4. Switch off Bluetooth on the PC.
  5. Switch the Amp input to Wi-Fi and then to Bluetooth.
  6. Pair the Amp on the phone's Bluetooth screen. WiiM Amp Pro is not discoverable. Will not show up until it is unpaired from PC.
  7. Test with the phone's YouTube app.
This is two distinct separate issues. I cannot connect two phones at the same time either. My LG phone will not discover the WiiM Amp Pro while it is paired with my Pixel phone, unless it is unpaired. the reverse is also true, it will not be discovered by the Pixel phone while paired to the LG phone, even with bluetooth disconnected and turned off from the LG phone.

The Windows PC will not play audio to the WiiM Amp Pro even when it is the only device paired.

Silly question, but if you turn up the volume on both PC and Amp, do you hear anything?

I too could not see Amp on my phone at first, and had to switch Amp input and search for the device on the phone several times. You have already tried rebooting the phone and Amp, right?

You might want to submit a ticket and ask the support team to check the device logs.

Yes, ive tried max volume on windows and the amp even.

I am switching inputs from wifi to bluetooth each time before trying to pair, as in step 5 of your list.

I have rebooted and reset all devices a few times now.
I have opened a ticket.
Thanks for your reply. The device does not seem to work as yours does.

If possible, it may be worth testing the PC, Amp and phone within a 1 m range..

Its on the same desk, doesnt seem to make a difference.
It remains completely undiscoverable by any other phones or devices, when paired but disconnected, from any single device. The blue LED is blinking.
Thanks

If you pair the phone and Amp first, you still can't pair the PC later, can you?

If other Bluetooth devices are already paired to the phone and PC, you can try unpairing everything and then pairing with Amp. (But I don't know if this will solve the issue.)

There may be a issue with your Amp, but unfortunately I'm not sure any more than this..Sorry

Thats correct, the PC cant find the amp if its paired to my phone.
I did try unpairing all devices from the phone as PC as well, rebooting and switching inputs on the amp each time.
I do think there is something wrong with the amp, I've never seen a device so fickle about its connection, and my PC outputs audio to every other bluetooth headset I have just find. It doesnt seem normal.

Hope @WiiM Support and @WiiM Team will solve your problem as soon as possible.
