🛠️ To get started, just update your firmware via the WiiM Home app, head to your device settings, and enable Roon. It’s that simple.

Your sound system just got a serious upgrade.

Great news

Would love to ever buy one

Will they ever be available in the UK?
Very unlikely I’d say with the upcoming release of the WiiM Sound and the separate Audio Pro W series speakers that were mentioned within the past few days in the main WiiM Edition speakers thread.

Yeah just seen those, encouraging at least.

Thank you WiiM for getting the ROON Certification. I just pulled the trigger on an A10 MKII WiiM and a C10MKII WiiM the A10 arrives tomorrow the C10 on Monday. Amazon Canada has them on sale for -30% I can't wait to compare them, the A10 May be going back with more C10s to follow..
I just listed my last to Sonos Play 5s and and an ERA 300 - they sound incredible but I can wait to be fully into the WiiM / Roon ecosystem. I'll post some impressions as the arrive.

Anybody have any intel as to whether there will any difference between the A10 / C10 MKII WiiM Edition and the the new A10 / C10 W Edition?

If I've read it right the new W range only works in new audio pro app and won't link up with WiiM devices like they do today

From the audio pro app point of view that would still appear to be the case. There’s maybe enough wiggle room in WiiM’s most recent statement that the WiiM app might see the audio pro w range but I guess we may need to wait and see.

Yeah, I am hoping so, but not banking on it - shame as full compatability would give great competition against Sonos. I really need WiiM compatible speaker that doesn't look crap and can be used outdoors to finally move away from my remaining Sonos units. Currently have 2 moves in our kitchen that we take outdoors when in the garden and the new W range looked to have that covered

I just got this back from Audio Pro

Hello Howard,

Thank you for your email.

It is unclear at the moment if Roon Ready will be available in the new app.
There are no bigger differences between the WiiM edition and Audio Pro C10 W.
There are some small hardware changes, fabric on front and sound tuning.

I wish you a lovely day further on

Kind regards, Audio Pro support

Hello, I just ordered both a C10 MKII WiiM and an A10 MKII WiiM and am very excited to learn of them on both the Roon Forum and the WiiM Forum. They arrive tomorrow. I'm purging myself of SONOS and once I'm done testing these two units will likely be back for many more. I note your release of the W Series, I have 2 questions: 1) Will all units in W series eventually be Roon Ready Certified? 2) Is there any difference between C10 MKII WiiM and C10 MKII W?

Thank You!!

My understanding though from the posts lately, unless i misunderstood, is that the W range willl work in the new audio pro app but not appear in the legacy app? And won't appear in the WiiM app like the WiiM edition will? The new audio pro app sees my WiiM devices but doesn't respond to them.

I think the jury is still out on whether all Linkplay-based speakers (which would cover all audio pro and other devices) will appear in the WiiM app - I’m perhaps taking an optimistic interpretation of WiiM’s recent statement that “we'll be working to ensure that compatible Linkplay enabled devices will show in the WiiM Home app”. I’d be the first to admit I’m perhaps being over-optimistic…

Wasn't that in relation to them disappearing in the latest version? The "compatible" line there is the stickler. I can't see WiiM producing the WiiM sound and the WiiM sound lite and collating directly with audio pro unfortunately, but fingers crossed

I just downloaded the Audio Pro W app and on first startup this is what you see 😂
All the FAQs in the app relate to WiiM devices as well but WiiM devices do not appear on the app.

Hi I have today taken delivery in Germany of a WiiM / M A10 Mk II - it is not Roon ready , even with updated firmware - have I missed something and can you help?

Are you 100% sure it's the "WiiM Edition" A10 Mk II and not just the standard Audio Pro A10 Mk II W?

I don't know a single source for the A10 Mk II WiiM Edition in Germany.

There are 3 versions of the A10 MkII

‚old‘ Mk II
new Mk II W
Mk II WiiM Edition

And it is unclear in how far W and WiiM Edition are identical or not.

Well, the W series app don’t support room correction for one thing. That may be accessible using the WiiM app but I wouldn’t place bets on that remaining the case otherwise why (marketing aside) have anew Audio Pro app? I’d fully expect the W series and WiiM Editions to have different firmware paths as well.

I wrote to Audio Pro a couple of months back, when I bought my C10 WiiM Editions and asked what the key differences between the WiiM editions and there new "W" editions were and if they were compatible with each other. The response essentially said that sonically they are the same, minor cosmetic differences and that the W editions don't run link play WiiM Home app.
