This month's updates bring new streaming options, expanded audio configuration tools, and deeper subwoofer and surround sound setup guidance. We've introduced new features for open network streaming, immersive cover art, headphone amplification, and enhanced subwoofer and surround sound workflows, along with improvements to DAC filter documentation and article formatting.

Whether you're setting up a desktop headphone amp, fine-tuning your bass with the WiiM Sub Pro, or building out a surround sound system, these articles have you covered.

📱 App/Software Usage

  • Tutorial: Using the Open Network Stream Service (New Feature) – Step-by-step guide for using the Open Network Stream service on WiiM devices. Added import/export and sort functions, and improved overall structure for easier navigation.

It's still February in Japan. 🙄🙂
And n US too, but the updates to the help center for the month are finished. I'm going to start posting the help center highlights and the wrap-up newsletter a little earlier.

The "Tutorial: Syncing Your Subwoofer with Main Speakers" needs to be reworked. The chapter "Understanding Subwoofer Delay" contains this statement: "If your subwoofer does not impose a noticeable delay but is placed farther from your main listening position than your main speakers, you should apply a delay value for the subwoofer."

If the sub is farther from the MLP, then delay needs to be added to the mains, not the sub (which is already delayed acoustically).

I'll forward that along to the team for you!
